Kid Courier Shuttle Policies

  • Children must be ready to board the van when it arrives. Please be prepared to leave to ensure everyone makes it to their destinations in a timely manner
  • We reserve the right to terminate Shuttle Services for disruptive children. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. This rule applies to parents as well
  • Children must wear seat belts at all times, no exceptions
  • Van must come to a complete stop before boarding or departure
  • Cellular phone use is permitted but we request that ring volumes be turned down as a safety precaution for the driver
  • No smoking or any type of tobacco products allowed
  • Children must clean their area or seat upon departure of any trash
  • Children must obey driver at all times and the driver has the right to assign seats
  • Fighting, arguing, or physical contact with other passengers will result in immediate termination of services
  • A detailed list of all rules and regulations will be sent to parents upon confirmation of reservation
SHUTTLE VAN SAFETY
  • All vans are equipped with a GPS tracking system
  • Clearly identified by the Kid Courier logo
  • Kept completely clean and checked by drivers daily
  • All shuttles are equipped with Stabilitrak
  • Booster seats will be used according to CA state law
  • Equipped with safety belts which are worn at all times
  • Meet and/or exceed state inspection standards for health and safety
  • Vans are professionally serviced on a regular basis
DRIVER POLICIES
  • Drivers are registered with TrustLine - The State of California’s authorized screening program with access to fingerprint records at the California Department of Justice and the FBI
  • Drug testing
  • DMV / Driving History Check – Kid Courier is notified if one of our drivers receives a moving violation
  • Personal Driving Test by qualified Instructor
  • Drivers are uniformed and wear a name badge
  • Drivers are trained and tested on their understanding of the van and are required to perform daily inspections

All of the above checks are performed before hiring AND randomly throughout employment. Drivers must recertify on a periodic basis

  • Operating 7-6:30
  • Nights & Weekend available upon request
Cancellations
Cancellations must be made 5 hours prior to pickup. If your child is a no show for the pre arranged pickup, a $30 service fee will be added to your account.

  • Kid Courier is in the process of becoming a Certified Green Business with the County of Marin
  • We are helping to create a healthier world for our children by reducing the number of cars on the road and thereby reducing Marin's overall greenhouse gas emissions
  • Purchasing policies reflect consciousness about the value of resources and importance of reducing waste
